What to Put in Your Wedding Day Emergency Kit

When it came to putting together a wedding day emergency kit for our own wedding, we kind of blanked. In fact, for as organized as I thought I was, I actually had zero things with me aside from my lipstick (which I later lost somewhere) and my powder. I seriously don’t know what I was thinking.

And sure…I didn’t have any wedding day snafus, but if I did I would have been stuck. But thankfully I had my day-of wedding coordinator there (and makeup artist until after the ceremony) to freshen me up or help with any last minute hiccups. Then honestly after the ceremony and a few glasses of champagne, I could have cared less about my lipstick or touch-ups. LOL.

In hindsight, however, I definitely would have brought a wedding day emergency kit with me had I thought about it. If you’re not into DIY’ing one and buying all the stuff individually, you can get pre-made emergency kits that come with MOST of the items below (but not all). This one is a general mini emergency kit and this one is wedding specific kit which is kind of cool, and includes things like emergency vows and wedding bands (um I hope they’re made of diamonds).

If you do decide to DIY your own wedding day emergency kit, you can use our list in it’s entirety, below, or you can pick and choose what you think you’ll need and definitely won’t from it. Just keep in mind that a) you’ll need a larger makeup bag to keep everything in one place, like this one here, and b) you never know what you’ll end up needing, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
