How Will Grandma Get There? Mansfield is about the same distance to Cleveland and Columbus and Akron (about an 1-1 1/2 hours) so guests would most likely travel into one of those airports. In terms of lodging there aren’t a ton of hotel choices nearby that aren’t close to the highway (like the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Mansfield Ontario). Your closest upscale hotel option would probably be the Mount Vernon Grand, which is about 40 minutes away from the venue.

The Report:

The 47-acre estate was Built in 1926 for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelley King, and opened as a public garden in 1953 after Mr. King’s death. Mr. King, who made his fortune working with the Ohio Brass Company in Mansfield, Ohio, left most of his estate to the private foundation that operates Kingwood Center today. Indoor venues on the estate include the Carriage House, Exhibit Hall, and Assembly Room. Outdoor include the Allee, Gazebo, South Lawn, and Courtyard.

Woman Getting Married Says:

I think an outdoor wedding is a must at this venue (weather permitting). The grounds are really pretty and you do not have to overdecorate given the lush surroundings (I also love using the house as the backdrop).
