BOHO CHIC SUMMER CAMP WEDDING

Summer camp isn’t just for kids, as Erin & Jonathan prove with their magical boho chic wedding at Camp Comfort in Texas.

“My mother and I come to Comfort often to get away and enjoy the scenery, people, and wine.” Erin began.

“My mom ran in to one of the camp owners (Phil and Lisa) when he was building it a few years ago. We visited a couple times after it was built and fell in love with the camp and it’s amazingly generous owners.”

“Brandi by far exceeded any expectation I could have had! She designed and created a fairy tale wedding that we all got to see come to life. She also organised and picked out most of our decor, which was rented from Whim, who also did a wonderful set up of the tent on the day. Our flowers were boho-chic and also made by Brandi Hines. They had garden roses, thistles and greenery.” Erin explained.

“My Maggie Sotero dress was almost vintage looking with lots of lace and looked great with my funky tie up the leg sandals. My necklace was a gift from my grandpa, which he bought for my grandma in Brazil during WWII and my bracelet was a diamond tennis bracelet borrowed from my mother.”

“We served chips and queso to our guests with salad, pulled pork sliders, civiche, and a variety of tacos along with our signature cocktail which was a palloma. The caterers really took care of us and made sure we were eating while also catering to the entire wedding. Everyone only had wonderful things to say about the service.”

“Jackie Willome was honestly the best photographer in the universe! I fell in love with the portraits on her website. I looked into at least 10 photographers, and I just couldn’t get past her portraits or the creativity in your photos, plus she had the most wonderful personality. One of my favourite moments from the wedding day was the reveal and taking photos in the creek in our wedding outfits!”

“My main tip for anyone trying to plan a wedding would be to try not to plan too much- and remember to live IN THE MOMENT, take deep breaths and just be along for the ride. If it’s feasible, get a good wedding planner– they are life savors.”
